The device is used to fix skis during waxing of their running surfaces. It is used esp. for long distance skis. The device consists of two support trestles providing a hold for the front and rear end of the ski and on which the ski is inserted with its upper surface facing downwards. The ski can be firmly fixed. Each support trestle consists of a frame (1.2) equipped with feet or stand ledges. It has on its upper side or one of its sides several fittings to hold one or more skis. The fittings may consist of a 'U' shaped groove or a clamp the flanks or side walls of which form clamping jaws capable of moving towards or away from each other.
