PURPOSE:To make the operation of the device simpler and its efficiency higher by forming a hardening chamber of variable volumes form which air is exhausted constantly at the hardening of the mold in a cold box method, by a freely vertically movable plate member and an enclosing box having an opening in the lower part. CONSTITUTION:Molding flask 17 packed with molding sand is conveyed and positioned onto the roller conveyor plate 16 on the station plate 5 provided to a machine bed 1. A gas plate 20 is placed on the top surface of the glask 17 and the plate 5 is moved upward by a fluid pressure cylinder device 3 to closely contact the plate 20 with the rubber lining 14 of an enclosing box 8. Then, a hole 19 and an orifice 15 align approximately and the flask 17 is set in a hardening chamber 23. A clearance 22 is set preferably at about 1mm. in general by the opening 9 of the enclosing box 8 and the plate 5. Next, a suction-exhaust fan device 13 is operated to exhaust air from an exhaust pipe 12 and send air to an amine gas generator 25. The amine-air mixed gas is sent through a supply pipe 10. Further, air is sent to expel the amine remained in the flask 17, whereby the mold is hardened. |
