PURPOSE:Oxygen gas generator having a high practicality, composed of by using the electrode which absorbs oxygen gas and can regenerate electrochemically as oxygen absorbing electrode. CONSTITUTION:Oxygen gas is continuously supplied by the oxygen gas generator without generating hydrogen gas and for example, the oxygen absorbing electrode 1 composed of porous lead electrode in the outside box made of polyvinyl chloride 4, the opposite pole 2 made of lead plate, the power source 3 turning direct current between both electrodes, the gelled solid electrolyte 8 containing sulfuric acid and cation exchange membrane, are provided on said generator. Also, the window part 6 drawing the air in the box 4, the porous membrane 9 which brockades the window and the oxygen discharge opening 7, are provided on said generator. Oxygen in the air is taken in from the part 6 and the oxygen gas is absorbed by the electrode 1 by the formula I. 2.0V voltage is applied between both electrodes using the electrode 1 as negative and the pole 2 as positive. Oxygen is regenerated by the electrochemical reduction formula II and also, oxygen gas is generated on the pole 2 by the formula III. The oxygen gas is taken in the room from discharge opening and is supplied. |
