This device comprises a storage vessel (1) containing the liquid (2) to be determined, a capillary tube (30) fed by this storage vessel, a transducer (5) transmitting ultrasonic vibrations to the capillary tube (30), means (7) for electrically charging the liquid droplets emerging from the capillary tube and electrical means for diverting (10, 11) these droplets in the direction of a receiving cell (9) and means (13) capable of stopping the diversion of the droplets when a predetermined number of the latter has reached the cell.
