PURPOSE:To easily form the protective film thick to the degree that the effect of dusts can be ignored, by coating resin on the recording medium provided at the concave side of the substrate, in the thickness regulated to the height of embankment of the substrate. CONSTITUTION:The embankment 5 is placed at the circumference of the substrate 4, and the recording medium 6 is vapor-deposited on the concave side. Next, the transparent epoxy resin 7 is placed on the recording medium 6, the blade 8 of the coater is extended along the embankment 5, and coating is made after matching it with the height of the embankment 5. Next, the resin 7 is hardened at room temperature to form the protective film 9. By arbitrarily setting the height of the embankment 5, the protective film 9 of desired thickness can be formed. With this method, the thickness of the protective film 9 has no dispersion and the property as optical recording material can be increased. |
