PURPOSE:To prevent the infiltration of cooling water at cooling process into a forming mold through steam orifices by a method wherein the part of a pillarlike body for steam orifices not facing a formed article is provided a little more projectingly than the outside surface of the mold when the pillarlike body is struck and fitted in the mold for expansion molding. CONSTITUTION:A pillarlike body 50 for steam orifices having many small pierced orifices 51 is struck and fitted in molds for expansion molding 10 and 20. The pillarlike body 50 has many small pierced orifices 51. The part of the pillarlike body 50 facing a formed article is made to accord with the inside surface of the mold, while the part which is opposed to the above part and to be exposed to water on the outside surface of the mold is provided in accordance with the outside surface of the mold or a little more projectingly than it. By said procedure, the infiltration of the cooling water at cooling process into the mold through the steam orifices can be prevented. |
