<p>The invention relates to a process and to an installation for the elimination by flotation of impunities in the form of solid particles contained in a liquid. The installation comprises at least one flotation cell through which pass a flow of the said liquid to be purified and a stream of air, in such a manner as to form floating foams originating from the fixation of air bubbles on the impurities; the installation further comprises, upstream of the flotation cell, at least one narrow mixing chamber capable of permitting the passage of a thin layer of liquid to be purified and provided with a means capable of admitting the flow of air transversely of the layer of liquid over a path in the chamber.</p> |
