METHOD FOR ATTACHING TEMPORARY CAP TO MOUTHPIECE PART OF DRUM

PURPOSE:To exactly and easily attach mouthpiece sealing paper to the mouthpiece parts of drum under transfer by stripping the mouthpiece sealing paper for drums previously stuck at prescribed intervals on a release tape from the release tape by a sticking member and sticking the paper successively to the mouthpiece parts of said drum. CONSTITUTION:Temporary caps for preventing sticking of paint are attached to the mouthpiece parts 3 of the drum in a stage before painting. Sheets of the mouthpiece sealing paper 7 for the drums which are previously stuck at the prescribed intervals to the release tape 6 are stripped from the release tape 6 by the mouthpiece sealing paper sticking member 5 and are successively stuck to the mouthpiece parts 3 of the drums which are transferred at a prescribed speed at this time. Namely, the mouthpiece sealing paper is exactly and easily attached in place of soft plastic molding cap bodies to the mouthpieces of the drums under transfer with simple equipment. The easy and efficient operation is thus assured.
