<p>PREPARATION OF ACRYLAMIDE Acrylamide may be prepared by the hydrolysis of acrylonitrile by treating the acrylonitrile with water in the presence of a copper catalyst which has been prepared by volatilizing copper metal at a temperature in the range of from about 1000.degree. to about 1500.degree. C. in vacuo and condensing the vapors in the presence of an organic solvent.</p> |
