PURPOSE:To obtain an electrode plate with sufficient mechanical strength as well as make easier the assembly of plate groups, by making the thickness of the upper main beam of a latticework subjected to an expanding process thicker than the original thickness of the netting element. CONSTITUTION:A latticework make of lead or a lead alloy consists of the upper main beam with the current-collecting lug 2 and the netting portion 3 subjected to an expanding process. The netting portion 3 is made up of the junction 5 connecting the elements 4 with each other. And, the plate thickness t1 of the upper main beam 1 is made thicker than the original plate thickness t2 of the element 4 of the netting portion 3. Thus, since the thickness T of the electrode plate becomes approx. 2 times as much as the original plate thickness of the element 4, the relationship between the thickness T of the electrode plate and the plate thickness t1 of the upper main beam 1 becomes t1>1/2T. |
