A support for a work tool, for example a hole-making tool or riveting tool, for use especially in mounting a profiled roof tile or the like, comprises a tool holder mounted centrally on an elongated beam, which at both its ends supports two supporting members configured to be able to rest against a profiled top or a profiled bottom of the tile. The supporting members can be adjusted in the longitudinal direction of the beam to match the profile division of the tile.
