PURPOSE:To realize an extension of the power supplying section up to the several- fold value without changing the design of the repeater, by using the coaxial cable composed of the coaxial core, the intervened line plus one piece of more of the insulated electric wire. CONSTITUTION:Not only coaxial core 5 and intervened line 6 but power transmitting insulated electric wire 7 are added to the coaxial cable. The necessary power is transmitted to supplying device 11 at intermediate feeding repeater station 9 from power transmitting device 12 at end office 8 via wire 7 of the coaxial cable. And in case the power transmission is required to the next station 9, the serial connection is given directly at the repeater station itself or the power is transmitted to the next station after boosting or the like. The current of wire 7 has no direct relation with the intermediate repeater station which is installed within the halfway manhole and the like and thus can be selected regardless of the dielectric strength of the repeater. |
