PURPOSE:To avoid the forced cut-off during the talking due to the shortage of coins given from the user of the public telephone, by charging the telephone rate to the side of the terminating subscriber with installation of the subscriber information searching part, the registered code inspecting part, the charging information producing part, the charging information transfer part and others at the exchange station. CONSTITUTION:User A desiring the charging at the terminating side through the public telephone dials the special number decided previously and then dials the cipher code registered previously in response to the cipher code request tone sent from exchange station EXG1. Central controller CC1 in EXG1 analyzes the received code and then sends the cipher code to searching part SER. At part SER the incoming telephone number is read out to memory MEM based on subscriber information FILE, and then the originating subscriber is made to hear the tone requesting the incoming telephone number. After confirming this tone, the originating subscriber dials the desired number. This dialed number is inspected at EXG1 with the number read out MEM. And if an agreement is obtained through the above inspection, the call is connected to the terminating subscriber. Thus the exchange station stops the transmission of the coin storage signal to unit PIEQ within the public station, and then the charging information is transferred to charging telephone number storing station EXG3 via transfer device TRM. |
