PURPOSE:To form an image free from a color stain on the gelatin layer by processing a lith type silver halide photosensitive material contg. a tetrazolium compound in the hydrophilic colloid layer with a specified oxidizing bath or a specified fixing soln. after exposure and development. CONSTITUTION:The above-mentioned photosensitive material after development is processed with a oxidizing bath contg. an inorg. oxidizing agent (a) such as alkali metal permanganate or ceric sulfate, a metal chelate oxidizing agent (b) such as iron (III) complex of alkali metal ethylenediaminetetraacetate of hexacyanoferrate (III), or an org. oxidizing agent (c) such as chloramine-T or -B. The amount of the oxidizing agent contained is about 0.1-10%, and the processing time is about 5- 100sec. The processed material is then fixed by a known method. Fixing may be carried out directly for about 30-300sec using a fixing soln. contg. about 1-50g/l metal chelate oxidizing agent (b). |
