STABLE BROMINATED RUBBER COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:A brominated rubber composition which exhibits heat stability at high temperatures for a long time, prepared by mixing a brominated rubber with a specific stabilizer and zinc white. CONSTITUTION:One hundred (100)pts.wt. of (A) a brominated rubber, bromine content 2-15wt%, prepared by reacting a copolymer rubber of an aromatic vinyl compound and a 4 or 5C conjugated diolefin with Br, with 0.5-10pts.wt. of (B) at least one stabilizer selected from the organotin compounds such as mono-n- butyltin laurate and di-n-butyltin bis(lauryl mercaptide) and epoxy compounds such as epoxy resins and methyl esters of an epoxidized soybean oil fatty acid and 0.5- 20pts.wt. of (C) zinc white.
