PURPOSE:To shut off unnecessary light and to obtain a clear picture on a solid-state image pickup device by providing a light shutting off unit on the surface of a transparent substrate and fixing and integrating it on the surface of the device. CONSTITUTION:A glass plate 13 with a light shutting off unit is mounted through an adhesive on the surface of a CCD 11. The CCD 11 consists of a photosensitive unit 21, a storage unit 22, a line transfer unit 23, and an output terminal 24. The glass plate 13 consists of a transparent unit 25 and a light shutting off unit 26. The CCD 11 and the glass plate 13 are fixed and integrated with adhesive in the state that the transparent unit 25 is matched with the photosensitive unit 21. |
