PURPOSE:To obtain clear image in a solid-state image pickup device by setting the thickness of a transparent substrate less than a predetermined value to apply uniform bias light thereto. CONSTITUTION:A color filter array 13 is fixed through adhesive 12 on the photosensitive unit of a CCD 11. The array 13 consists of a red transparent unit R, a green transparent unit G, and a blue transparent unit B sequentially finely arranged in stripe state on a glass substrate having a thickness less than 0.5mm.. The adhesive 12 is thermosetting or ultraviolet ray curable ordinary adhesive, and has preferably an expansion coefficient in the vicinity of the color filter array 13 and the CCD 11. |
