The terminal block joins two wires together without pre- stripping the insulation. The main insulation body of the block has a guide for the cables (15) and a hollow body (11) with an internal shoulder. A second part is shaped to slide into the main body and carries a shoulder (21) and a shaped metal part. When this part is pushed into the main body, the sharp edges of the metal strip the wire insulation and connect the two wires together electrically. The shoulders on the main part and the insert bend the ends of the wires and wedge them in place. Filling the body with a viscous material helps hold the cable during assembly and seals the connection chamber preventing corrosion.
