<p>The mixer tap may be used on the water supply to a domestic shower, and is controlled by a handwheel (11) which drives a disc (14) with circular ramps (46,47). Two sprung (7) piston valves control the hot and cold feeds, their heads (3b) being depressed by ramps (46,47) to lift the valves of conical seats (2a). The wheel (11) position is indicated by a built in annular scale (13) visible through a window (12). The size of the feed apertures may be varied by rotating individual piston sleeves (2). A barrel slot (S) is in the foot of each sleeve. A finger wheel (16) may operate a screw action lift valve (18,23) which closes or restricts the access (28) of the feeds to a mixing chamber (40).</p> |
