Multilayer filter plate - with an edge sealed by cold curing plastisol

Multilayer filter plate consists of a supporting layer, covered on both sides by a filtration or permeation active layer, where the permeate is collected in the cavities of the supporting layer and carried away from them. The peripheral zones of the filter plates are encased in a cold curing plastisol, preferably a polyurethane plastisol. This overcomes the difficulty of poor adhesion of plastics on membrane materials and prevents contamination of the permeate by matter entering from the periphery.
