PURPOSE:To economize energy and stabilize operation, by causing a heat transfer unit to surround a fermentation vessel coupled to a combustion unit. CONSTITUTION:A hot water circulation pipe 24 connected to a hot water tank 19 is wound as a heat transfer unit around a fermentation vessel 1 coupled to a combustion unit 5 through a conduit 6 fitted with a diaphragm 7. Kitchen garbage or the like introduced through a throw-in port 3 is crushed by a crusher 2 and then thrown into the fermentation vessel 1 so that the garbage is fermented while stirred. When the pressure of gas in the fermentation vessel 1 reaches a set level, the diaphragm 7 is expanded and a shut-off valve 18 is opened and an ignitor 8 is operated through a lever 12 to ignite a burner 16 to heat water in the hot water tank 19. when the hot water in the tank 19 reaches a set temperature, a circulating pump 25 is actuated to circulate the hot water through the hot water circulation pipe 24 to maintain the fermentation vessel 1 at a temperature appropriate to the fermentation. According to this constitution, the hot water is produced by utilizing the garbage and the fermentation is actively promoted. |
