A rail foot on a railway track is fixed, by two clamping pieces, each held by a pair of ribs, between two such pairs set parallel on a ribbed plate. The device forms a holding member for fixtures to secure rails. One of the two clamping pieces, at least, is a wedge (10) form-locked into the chamber formed by one pair of ribs (a). At the top it has a lug (11) protruding to the centre of the plate (1), slightly narrower than rib spacing. Its bottom surface has a sloped piece (13) rising to the lug tip, sloping at the same angle as the foot of the rail (3). This permits use of a normal ribbed plate, and is compact, esp. in height.
|
