Pesticidal 3-para-chloro-benzyl-benzyl pyrethroid ester(s) - prepd. from 2,2-di:methyl-3-di:bromo-di:chloro-ethyl-cyclopropane-carboxylic acid halide

New 3-(p-chlorobenzyl)benzyl 2,2-dimethyl) -3-(1,2-dibromo- 2,2-dichloroethyl) -cyclopropanecarboxylic acid esters are cpds. of formula (I), where R1 is CH, CN, ethynyl or 1propynyl. (I) are pesticides, esp. insecticides and acaricides, and can be used for combating insects, phytopathogenic mites, and ticks. While they are partic. useful in plant protection, (I) also show good activity against flies (e.g. Musca domestica) and mosquito larvae.
