A side, which is elastically spreadable against the sidewall of a cutout in a door or other panel-shaped furniture component, is incorporated in a fixable stop piece on a hinge. The spreadable side (8) is only a part section of an otherwise rigid part of the stop piece located inside the cutout.The splaying unit is an eccentric (9) mounted between the spreadable side and the rigid piece. Its end face, turned towards the stop piece's visible surface and accessible through a hole, is fitted with a handle, or screwdriver slot. This can be fitted in cutouts where there is considerable tolerance, without the stop piece being out of place. (DS).
