The slide viewing cassette (1a,b) is intended for small-size slides, particularly pocket slides (6). It comprises a frame (5) in which the slides are arranged at pre-determined positions. The cassette is inserted in a viewer, which is provided with means for sliding the frame so that any slide in the frame can be moved into the viewing position. The viewer may be provided with its own viewing screen or it may have a lens for projecting the slides on to a separate screen. The cassette may have two transparent panels (4 is one) connected by a hinge (2), the frame (5) surrounding one panel and projecting above the plane of that panel to form a space in which the slides are contained.
