Childproof bottle closure - requiring displacement of safety ring before bead engagement can be broken

A childproof closure for bottles includes a screw cap which seals the bottle and is normally held captive by its internal bottom bead snapping over an external bead on the bottle neck. The two cannot be sepd. by force because a safety ring is suspended from a step on the cap periphery. The two-part safety ring must be pushed downward against the force of its attachment to the cap step until it clears the bead on the bottle. The cap can then be unscrewed. This closure consists of few parts and can be produced at low cost. It retains its safety features even if used over long-periods.
