<p>PURPOSE:To make a character input device miniature and inexpensive by displaying a line of characters on a screen and then by assigning and inputting a character by moving a cursor through simple switch operation. CONSTITUTION:At the lower of the screen of video monitor 2, a line of characters is displayed. Under one of displayed characters, cursor 5 resides and moves to right and left by switches 3 and 4. When a character to be inputted is found, cursor 5 is moved by switch 3 or 4 to assign the desired character and then input switch 7 is only operated, thereby inputting the character.</p> |
