The tray for rear seat occupants in a car is suspended on slings (13) clipped to the headrest frame above the seat. The frame has lateral stubs (6) over which the support clips of the slings are hooked. The tray is simple to fit and remove. Its position remains unaltered with changes in seat position and provides a simple and secure working surface for the rear seat occupants. The lateral tags in the headrest frame can be in profiled recesses to reduce injury risk. The slings are adjustable.
