<p>The outlet frame is for the throat of an extrusion press, producing blanks of ceramic material. The frame is mounted on an extension plate and is of a hard wear-resistant casting. The frame (1) is reinforced by a steel inlay (11), embedded partly or wholly into it, and having openings through it or blind holes (13), preferably of circular cross-section. The inlay can be made of perforated plate, or strip or wire mesh, and may be in the form of a reinforcing frame enclosing the outlet frame and parallel to the direction of movement of the extruded ceramic material.</p> |
