Cpds (I), their salts and optical isomers. (where R1 is Et, Pr, or Bu, R2 and R3 are Me, Et, Pr or Bu or NR2R3 is pyrrolidino) are prepd by reacting an alpha-halo-acyl-i', 6'-xylidide (II) with HNR2 R3 or by reacting (II) with R2NH2 and treating the product with an alkylating agent to introduce R3. Thus (I, R1=R2=R3=Et) is prepd from -alpha-bromobutylryl-2'-6'-xyldide and Et2NH. |
