The colour carrier (F) is demodulated in the two sync. demodulators (12, 22) to give the B-Y and R-Y signals. Each of these two signals is delayed (13, 23) by one line. Each delayed signal is added (14, 24) to its undelayed relative to produce two colour difference signals (R-Y)' and (B-Y)' whose addition (31) and inversion (32) results in the third colour difference signal (G-Y)' .
