PURPOSE:To shorten the measurement time considerably and reduce power consumption considerably by providing an electric resistance layer on the heat-proof substrate holding thermal luminescence phosphor granules and by flowing a current to this resistance layer. CONSTITUTION:Electric resistance layer 7 is provided on heat-proof substrate 8 such as polyimide sheet, and thermal luminescence phosphor granules 10 are caused to adhere to substrate 8 by heat-proof adhesive 9. When radiant rays are irradiated onto granules 10 and current is flowed to resistance layer 7, the temperature of this thermal luminescence dose meter element rises and this element emits light. This light emission quantity is detected to measure the radiation exposure dose. By this structure, since any external heat source is not required for heating measurement, the measurement time can be shortened considerably and power consumption can be reduced considerably.
