METHOD OF ENVELOPING ARTICLES WITH THERMOPLASTIC STRIP MATERIAL

Electrical components are enveloped in thermoplastics by pressing two thermoplastics strips from either side onto a component and onto each other at the edges, the strips containing miniscule gas bubbles to permit rapid deformation. The strips are heat-softened only on the internal faces, and parts remain kept below softening temp.
