A roll R of flexible sheet material has an internal passageway therethrough with a slot extending from the passageway into the roll at one end of the roll, and roll mounting spindle 30 disposed in the passageway and having a rib 34 extending into the slot to rotatably lock the roll R and the mounting spindle 30 together, the mounting spindle 30 further having portions 36,38 extending axially outwardly beyond the ends of the roll R and adapted to be rotatably mounted in a dispenser, one of the portions 38 having a smaller minimum transverse cross-sectional dimension than the other of portions 36, whereby said one portion 38 is adapted to be received in a similarly dimensioned portion 42 of a dispenser supporting structure and said other portion 36 is too large to be received in said supporting structure so that said portions can be mounted in the dispenser with the roll axially oriented in one direction only. <IMAGE> |
