A plastics hinge for flexibly connecting large-area and relatively thick-walled components is integrally made of thin, film-like section and thicker, bridge-type sections, alternatively arranged over the entire hinge. The connection of a hinge with the components to be hinged together is always made with a thin film-like section. It is useful for hinge-joining the lid and bottom of a container together. It is easy and inexpensive to mfr. and eliminates the need for separate mechanical connecting components e.g. screw connections. Highly flexible.
