PURPOSE:To prevent oxidation owing to entry of the atmospheric air and make possible the continuous production of a ship, in a strip producing apparatus, by supplying an inert gas to the gas guide pipe on the outside circumference of a heating pipe nozzle which is made freely vertically movable. CONSTITUTION:A heating pipe la is placed in an ascending position, and an inert gas or reducing gas for prevention of oxidation is supplied through the gas lead-in ports ld, 4a of the gas guide pipe 4 provided on the outside circumferences of the heating pipe 1a and the nozzle 1c. Next, material 3 is heated to melt by a heater 1b and the heating pipe 1a is lowered onto rolls 2a, 2b. Thence, gaseous pressure in the heating pipe 1a is raised to allow the molten meterial 3 to spout through the nozzle 1c between the rolls 2a, 2b revolving at a high speed. Then, the molten material is quickly cooled and rolled by the rolls 2a, 2b, to a sheet. |
