Dioxatricyclodecanes I(one of R1 and R2 is H and the other is OH, acyloxy, carbamoyloxy: R1R2 = 0) having anorectic effect were prepd. from didrovaltratum-contg. extract by 8 steps. Thus, 4-acetoxy-8-hydroxy-3-iodomethyl-10-methylene-2,9-dioxatricyclo-[4,3,1,03.7 -decane was reacted with halogen hydride in acetic acid or alcohol, oxidized, reduced, and treated with one of carboxylic anhydride, carboxylic chloride, alkyl isocyanate, and carbamic acid ester to give acyloxy or carbamoyloxy compd.(I).
