<p>A pump for a radioactive waste concentrator in a shielded enclosure is mounted on a wheeled vehicle that travels on tracks, and a spare pump is mounted on an identical wheeled vehicle outside of the shielded enclosure, adjacent the tracks. If the pump fails, it is wheeled out of the shielded enclosure, and the vehicle carrying the spare pump is put on the tracks and wheeled into the enclosure for quick connection to the concentrator.</p> |
