This invention relates to a method and an apparatus for defrosting of a heat exchanger 2 arranged in an extract air duct for recuperation of heat between the extract air and the intake air, whereby the directions of flow of two heat exchanging media in the heat exchanger are reversed for obtaining two alternately hot and cold zones in the heat exchanger for alternating defrosting of the said zones of the heat exchanger during current heat recuperation.
