PURPOSE:To form an activated light reflecting layer having superior performance by using a dispersion prepared by dispersing modified TiO2 white pigment, in a specified pH range, obtd. By precipitating a specified percentage each of SiO2 and Al2O3 on Tio2 in a specified wt. ratio or more. CONSTITUTION:Film unit 10 composed essentially of transparent support 1, image receiving layer 2, activated light absorbing layer 3-1, activated light reflecting layer 3-2,color image substance forming layer 4, silver halide emulsion layer 5, neutralizing layer 6-1, 6-2, timing layer 6-3 and destructible container 9 filled with alkali processing composition 8 contg. opacifying agent 7. Reflecting layer 3-2 is formed by coating a dispersion prepared as follows: 0.5-5wt% Al2O3 and 1-10wt% SiO2 are precipitated on TiO2 in the weight ratio of SiO2/Al2O3>=1 and the resulting modified TiO2 white pigment is dispersed in hydrophilic colloid in the 6.8-8.0 pH range. Thus,a dispersing machine such as a homojetter of low energy is used in the dispersion, and effective reflecting layer 3-2 is obtd. while reducing the use of the white pigment and a dispersant. |
