<p>Title compds. [I; R = 2 or 3-thienyl; R1 = H or solting ion, R2 = H, solting ion or ester, Rx = H or carboxyl protecting group were prepd. by reaction of II and III followed by hydrolysis or alcoholysis. Thus, 6α-methoxy, 6β-aminopenicillate and pyridine were treated with methylene chloride to give benzyl 6α-methoxy, 6β-(2'-phenoxycarbonylthie-3-yl-acetamido) phenicillate(III). III was treated with N-sodium bicarbonate to give 6α-methoxy, 6β-(2'-phenoxycarbonylthiene-3-yl acetamide) penicillanic acid.</p> |
