<p>The cable grip strap comprises a strip of strong plastic material (1) tapering to a point (4) at one end. Along one surface of the main part of the grip is a ribbed surface (3) intended to be gripped when the end of the strap is wrapped around a group of cables and fitted into a clamp (2). The clamp has a slot between upper and lower edges (12,13, 14,16) to receive the strap, with a serrated edge on the lower side of a spring tag (10). The serrated edge normally presses down on the ribbed surface of the strap to hold it in place. A tab (15) extends at right angles to the spring tag so that by applying finger pressure in the appropriate direction the grip may be released. The series of ribs along the surface of the strap enable it to be adjusted to enclose varying numbers of cables in a group.</p> |
