Domestic fireplace heat recuperator providing heated fresh air - has monobloc construction with series of vertical passageways with common inlet and outlet

The heat recuperator consists of an air chamber (2) situated behind a front plate (1) which forms the back wall of the fireplace. Fresh air (F1) is supplied to the air chamber at the rear bottom entry which is formed by the shroud (4) and the built in air inlet pipes. The air is heated as it passes upwards through the recuperator which it leaves through the outlets (8a,8b). The recuperator is monobloc construction and installed in the fireplace with insulation provided between it and the rear wall of the chimney.
