<p>The bracing system is used on large shutter panels for in situ concrete walls, serving to stabilise the panel against overturning by the wind. The panel base (2) is pinned to a transverse sole plate (1), bracing being effected by a screw jack (4) which extends between pin joints to a plate end (3) and the shutter. An 'L' shaped element has the foot of the shutter bolted inside the vertical leg, and the jack is tied back to the outside of the leg at the root. An asymmetric 'U' shaped portal post, has its laterally offset bottom foot bearing on the ground, its arch clearing the forms and the near walkway, and its top foot fixing to the rear face of the far shutter.</p> |
