PURPOSE:To detect an instantaneous pulse signal without continuously sampling and monitoring the signal, by providing a memory circuit for detecting and storing the instantaneous pulse signal and by discriminating the output of the memory circuit once. CONSTITUTION:When an instantaneous pulse signal 5 of several microseconds appears from a tested object 1 during a test, the pulse signal is applied to a memory circuit 2 to send out an answer signal 6. A microcomputer 4 detects the state of the answer signal 6 through a process input/output unit 3 to discriminate the state of the pulse signal 5. The answer signal 6 is reset by a reset signal 7. The memory circuit 2 is returned into its initial state, thereby completing the test. According to this method, the state of the pulse signal 5 can be surely discriminated. Since the detection and the discrimination of the pulse signal 5 are effected once, the burden upon the microcomputer 4 is small. |
