PURPOSE:To eliminate an influence of a flicker even when a light source is turned off by the commercial electric power source by permitting the register part of an image sensor to operate as an analog memory under the on-off control of a clock signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal photoelectrically converted by photodetection part 3 of the image sensor is transferred to register part 1 when transfer pulse SH is input to transfer gate 2 with a timing pulse. Once pulse SH is output to gate 2, clock signals phi1-phi4 stop and the transferred signal is stored in register part 1 until the next clock signals phi1-phi4 are output. When clock signals phi1-phi4 are output with the next timing pulse, the stored data of register part 1 are output as video output successively with clock signals phi1-phi4. Consequently, no influence of a flicker is exercised even when the light source is turned on by the commercial electric power source. |
