Prepn. of complex salt of inosine and di:methylamino-isopropanol - by reaction with p-acetamido-benzoic acid, has pharmacological activity

Prepn. of a complex salt (I) of inosine and dimethylaminoisopropanol (II) with p-acetamidobenzoic acid (III) is carried out by dissolving (III), (II) and inosine successively in a mixt. of water and an organic solvent, heating the mixt. to boiling, and isolating (I) in crystalline form by filtration. (I) has pharmacological activity. The process gives a prod. of uniform quality in high yields without the need to evaporate off water.
