An electrostatic motor operated without coil, core and commutator is installed with a pair of fixed poles symmetrically centering around the rotor. The electric field is formed around the fixed poles when applying D.C. voltage to the fixed poles and the rotor start to rotate by the attractive force because the rotor's poles have the opposite polarity by the dielectic effect. When the fixed and rotating poles are close, the discharge occurs through the air gap and the rotor continues to rotate by repulsive force because the rotating poles have the same polarity.
