The equipment delivers solid particles from a vessel, pref. pressurised, or a feed mechanism, using a transporting gas. A bucket-wheel-type sluice valve (18) is used to deliver the particles from the vessel (11) to the gas. The wheel can be followed by an auger conveyor (19), and it can be horizontal, turning on a vertical axis. There can be two or more bucket-wheel chambers one behind the other in the transport direction, connected together by alternately perforated partitions. The perforations can be curved so as to give gradual opening of the individual cells.
