Stability, security in the event of settlement, and a compact form favouring erection alongside traffic routes, are characteristics of a sectional wall, esp. noise-protective wall, made up from prefabricated concrete components, and filling material. Use is made of elongated building elements (1), of angular cross-section. Arranged one above another, each with one horizontal (2) and one vertical (3) shank, these form chambers open at the side to accommodate the filling material. Horizontal shanks pref. face different wall sides alternately, while vertical ones alternately form different wall sides. The space for filling pref. runs straight through from top to bottom.
